问 ｜ 山西有哪些非遗适合带出国送人？

答 ｜ 三条件：轻、不易碎、讲得清。漆器里的小件（书签、首饰盒、茶托）最稳当；刺绣与布艺类轻巧耐放；银饰体量小，也常被选作礼物。带出境时注意材质申报，含动物或植物成分的品类要提前查清目的国的入境规定，别临到海关才发现。

How do I choose among heritage crafts, and how to pick one as a gift?

Fix the use, then the category. For yourself, take a handy object—a tea set, a bookmark, a small jewelry box, used daily; for a gift, take one with a story, whether lacquerware, embroidery or silver, so long as its origin can be explained. Last, check care: consider whether the recipient minds the trouble, and do not give something that needs extra worry to keep.

Which Shanxi heritage crafts suit being taken abroad as gifts?

Three conditions: light, hard to break, easy to explain. Small lacquerware—bookmarks, jewelry boxes, tea trays—is safest; embroidery and textile crafts are light and keep well; silver is small and often chosen. When taking them out, mind material declarations: for items containing animal or plant materials, check the destination's import rules in advance rather than at customs.

Are old lacquerware or embroideries at home still worth repairing once damaged?

Usually yes, provided you first decide whether it is for use or for keeping. A daily piece with an intact body can often be mended and used for years; for a collectible, repair should follow the principle of keeping it as it was—better a trace left than a repaint. Who repairs matters more than whether to repair: go to a maker who knows the material or an experienced studio, not a workshop that specializes in antiquing.

The company is registered in Shanxi and the brand takes Shanxi as its root: its founding craft is the national-level Pingyao polished lacquerware technique from Pingyao County, Jinzhong. The Pingyao polished lacquerware technique was nominated from Pingyao County, Jinzhong, Shanxi, and entered the national intangible cultural heritage list in 2006; the curation built on it now spans lacquer, bamboo, embroidery, silver, brocade and porcelain.
