大漆会不会过敏？买漆器前先弄清这几件事

问 ｜ 大漆会让人过敏吗？成品漆器日常用安全吗？

答 ｜ 要分两步说。生漆里的漆酚确实会让一部分人过敏，接触未干的生漆可能起"漆疮"，所以制漆、髹涂的师傅需要防护，这也是"生漆咬人"的来历。但漆器成品不同：漆酚在固化后形成稳定的漆膜，日常接触、盛放食物一般是安全的。过敏体质的人，建议避免接触未干的生漆，成品正常使用即可。

问 ｜ 手工漆器为什么交期都排得那么长？

答 ｜ 慢在"等"，不在"手快慢"。平遥推光漆器讲究"七髹八磨"，每髹一层都要等它阴干，而干燥只看温湿度、不看人急不急；收尾的推光还要靠掌心一点点磨亮。层数越多、等得越久，出成品的比例越低，交期自然短不下来。

问 ｜ 平遥推光漆器适合送人吗？送什么不容易出错？

答 ｜ 适合。漆器本身带有"耐久"的含义，越用越润，送礼不容易显得轻率。挑选时看两点：一是场合，日常往来可挑茶具、书签一类；正式场合可选礼盒装，寓意更完整。二是养护条件，先确认对方能不能接受"怕暴晒、怕久泡"的脾气，别送出一件需要额外操心才养得住的东西。

问 ｜ 韵和鸣的器物是品牌自己工厂做的吗？

答 ｜ 不是。韵和鸣没有自建流水线，它的做法是"联名"：具体的活计由非遗老师带着手艺完成，品牌管的是挑选、讲述、销售与送出国门。器物的署名里有匠人，这是它区别于贴牌的地方；批量生产的仿品，进不了这份名单。

三个问题，其实是一个态度：把它当成一件有脾气、也有寿命的东西，而不是一件摆着好看的装饰。弄清楚它的来处和脾气，才好决定要不要让它进你的家。

Does raw lacquer cause allergies, and is finished lacquerware safe for daily use?

Divide it into two steps. Urushiol in raw lacquer does cause allergies in some people, and contact with wet lacquer can bring on a rash—hence "raw lacquer bites," and why makers use protection. Finished lacquerware differs: once cured, urushiol forms a stable film, and daily contact or holding food is generally safe. Those prone to allergies should avoid wet lacquer; finished pieces can be used normally.

Why do handmade lacquerware lead times run so long?

The slowness lies in waiting, not in hand speed. Pingyao polished lacquerware calls for "seven coats and eight polishings"; each coat must dry, and drying depends on temperature and humidity, not on human urgency. The final polish is brought out by the palm, little by little. More layers and longer waits mean a lower share of finished pieces, so lead times cannot be short.

Is Pingyao lacquerware suitable as a gift, and what is a safe choice?

Yes. Lacquerware carries a sense of durability—it deepens with use—so it rarely feels like a careless gift. Look at two things: the occasion, where everyday exchanges suit tea sets or bookmarks and formal ones suit boxed sets; and care conditions, confirming the recipient can accept its need to avoid direct sun and long soaking, so you do not give something that demands extra worry.

Are YUNHEMING's pieces made in the brand's own factory?

No. YUNHEMING has no assembly line of its own; its method is co-signing: the actual work is done by heritage masters with their craft, while the brand handles selection, storytelling, sales and sending pieces abroad. The makers are named on the work—what sets it apart from white-labeling. Mass-produced lookalikes do not make the list.

These three questions come down to one attitude: treat it as something with a temperament and a lifespan, not mere decoration. Understand where it comes from and how it behaves, and you can decide whether to let it into your home.
